Training in Japan finished
Maizuru, Kyoto, Japan, 12th July 2019 – 5 shift leaders and 1 station chemist from PT. Bhumi Jepara Service (hereinafter “BJS”) participated in a training in Japan coordinated by one of the sponsors, The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. (hereinafter “Kansai”) from 24th June to 12th July. During the training, trainees visited Kansai’s facility such as Maizuru Power Station, an ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant, and learned Kansai’s operational know-how through various lectures, case studies and discussion, where Kansai shared past experiences obtained from operation of their power plants over the years.
Mr. Agus Hadianto, one of the shift leaders who attended the training, looks back at the training and comments “It was an excellent training. It gave trainees the important foundation skills and knowledge through a lot of brainstorming and case studies among the trainees and the trainers. I am sure that it strengthens our capability and reinforces shift leaders’ contribution to successful and bright future of the organization.”
In addition to technical trainings, the trainees also attended a lecture regarding Japan. In the lecture, they learned Japanese behaviors and values such as punctuality, for example “acting 5 minutes before the time”, and found it important for BJS to adopt such behavior to further improve daily operation and maintenance activities.
BJS places high priority on human resource development. A wide variety of trainings has been and will continue to be implemented, including another training in Japan planned in February to develop operation and maintenance skill furthermore. Through the continuous human resource development, BJS will strive to become a leading power company that contributes to economic growth and social development in Indonesia.
