Empowering Local Workforce: PT Bhumi Jati Power Strengthens Skills Through Scaffolder & Rigger Certification Program
Jepara, 18 February 2026 – PT Bhumi Jati Power (“BJP”) successfully conducted the Scaffolder and Rigger Training and Certification Program (“Training Program”), which was participated in by 40 villagers from the villages surrounding the PLTU area. This Training Program is a part of the education and training pillar of the BJP CSR Program, and represent a collaborative initiative between the BJP and Cooperatives, SMEs, Manpower and Transmigration Agency of Jepara Regency (“Diskopukmnakertrans Jepara”) .
This Training Program was conducted consecutively, starting from 3 – 5 February 2026 for Scaffolding Training and 10 - 12 February 2026 for Rigging Training. This Training Program reflects BJP’s commitment to empowering communities surrounding the PLTU area with the purpose of enhancing skills, strengthening competencies, and expanding employment opportunities.
Mr. Zamroni, Head of Diskopukmnakertrans Jepara, expressed his appreciation to BJP for its continued support of community development programs for villages near the power plant area. He highlighted that the 40 selected participants got the valuable opportunity to join the Training Program.
“The selected participants are individuals who have been given a valuable opportunity by the company to enhance and develop their competencies as Scaffolders and Riggers. We encourage you to use this opportunity to upgrade your skill and competency” Mr. Zamroni stated.
Mr. Ari Wibawa, CSR Manager of BJP, conveyed his expectation. “In the professional world, certification is essential to ensure that workers not only possess the required technical skills or competency but also understand and comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards in the workplace. Upon completion of the Training Program and passing the certification process, the participants will receive a certificate issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), which can be used as a valuable credential to pursue employment opportunities across various industries and regions”.
This Training Program implementation was supported by a credible training provider namely Media Edutama Indonesia, which delivered the training materials and shared its knowledge with all participants. The learning session was delivered by the experts who have long experience in the scaffolding and rigging. On the last day of the Training Program, all participants were obliged to participate in the certification process conducted by the assessor from BNSP.
BJP remains committed to supporting sustainable community development through continuous competency enhancement initiatives. The company plans to implement additional training programs in the future to further strengthen local human resources and promote inclusive economic growth.
