Strengthening Community Health : BJP Empowers Mothers and Posyandu Cadres for a Healthier Generation
Jepara, 22,23 & 29 Aug 2026– PT Bhumi Jati Power (“BJP”) continues to strengthen its commitment to improving community health & knowledge through various empowerment programs by conducting a Maternity Class and Refreshment Training for the Cadres of Posyandu (Pos Pelayanan Terpadu or Integrated Health Post).
In collaboration with the Tubanan Village Health Forum and RS PKU Aisyiyah Jepara, BJP successfully conducted the Maternity Class on 22-23 August 2026 at the Tubanan Village Hall. The event was attended by 20 pregnant mothers, who participated in an educational session covering maternal and pregnancy health, complemented by prenatal yoga to support physical and mental well-being during pregnancy.
BJP expected participants in the maternity class to gain valuable information and knowledge on healthy pregnancy & nutrition, the importance of routine prenatal check-ups, birth preparation, and newborn care. Beyond serving as a learning opportunity, the class also provides a space for the mothers to share experiences and build support among themselves.
The Midwife of Tubanan Village, Mrs. Rina Anjarwati, expressed her gratitude for BJP’s continued support to Tubanan Village: “We as Tubanan villagers really appreciate BJP’s support and commitment to improve community health in the middle of the government’s budget efficiency period. As we may know, the 1,000 golden days start from pregnancy, which means that the pregnancy period is very important and crucial to prevent stunting in children. Through this training, we hope to have a golden generation in the future since a healthy mother gives birth to a healthy baby.” The maternity class closed with Prenatal Yoga led by Mrs. Prihatin Ning Rahayu, A.Md.Keb, from RS PKU Aisyiyah Jepara to increase mothers’ stamina and strength.
Alongside maternal empowerment in Tubanan, BJP also continued its commitment to strengthening community health by enhancing the knowledge and capacity of Posyandu cadres in Bondo Village. In collaboration with Bondo Village Health Forum and Community Health Centre (“Puskesmas”) Bangsri, BJP conducted a refreshment training program on 29 August 2026 in Bondo Village Hall attended by 77 cadres of Posyandu from Bondo Village.
BJP realized that Posyandu cadres play a crucial role as the frontline, particularly in monitoring maternal and child health and disseminating health information to residents at the village level. Through this training, BJP expected the cadres to gain more knowledge, skills, and capacity in carrying out their duties in Posyandu activities.
Mr. Nafi’an from Puskesmas Bangsri stated, “This refreshment training for cadres is very important and will become the key since the cadres are the frontlines of community-based healthcare services. The cadres who are equipped with adequate knowledge and skills are expected to provide optimal services in delivering health education to the community, support the monitoring of child growth and development, and assist in the early detection of various health issues”
BJP is committed to improving community health by involving various parties, including the village government, health cadres/volunteers, and the community, to build a stronger and more sustainable health ecosystem while fostering a healthy, self-reliant, and empowered community.
