This session was particularly noteworthy as it featured the participation of external stakeholders from the Jepara Branch of the Indonesian Journalist Association (“PWI”) as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights on digital journalism with 40 students and 10 teachers. In addition, the IT Team from the HRGA Department of BJS also delivered an interactive session on cybersecurity awareness, making the Program highly relevant to the challenges faced by the young generation in the digital era.

The event commenced with a welcoming speech from the Headmaster of MA Matholiul Huda, H. Edy Husni, S.Ag., M.Pd., who expressed his appreciation for PT Bhumi Jati Power’s commitment to advancing education through initiatives such as the BJP/BJS Goes to School Program.

“We feel very grateful and honored to be selected as the location for this Program. We hope there will be more activities and collaborations in the future. We believe that this partnership can continue to inspire our students to pursue and achieve their dreams,” he said.

The Program continued with motivational sessions delivered by Mr. Ari Wibawa, BJP CSR Manager, and Mr. Handoko Agung, BJP CSR Leader. Through engaging discussions and practical insights, both speakers encouraged students to recognize their unique strengths, understand their personal values, and identify their individual potential. They also emphasized the importance of setting clear goals and developing a vision for the future from an early age as a foundation for personal and professional success.

Mr. Ari Wibawa emphasized the importance of education and long-term planning in shaping a successful future.

“It is important to understand our values and potential while setting clear goals from an early age. By doing so, we have sufficient time to prepare ourselves for future opportunities. We should always remember that education is the most powerful tool that can transform our lives and create a better future,” he explained.

The Program, followed by the cybersecurity session, was delivered by Mr. Anas Nurdiansyah as BJS IT Leader. During his presentation, he raised awareness about the risks of oversharing personal information on social media and provided practical tips for protecting oneself from cybercrime.

“Students are among the most vulnerable targets of cybercrime due to limited experience and awareness. Therefore, we must be cautious in managing our social media activities and avoid sharing excessive personal information online,” he said.

The final session was presented by Mr. Rhobi Sani, representing PWI, who introduced the concept of citizen journalism and highlighted the importance of ethical practices in digital media.

“We must uphold the principles of digital journalism, including honesty, accuracy, balance, respect for privacy, and responsibility. In today’s fast-paced digital era, speed is important, but accuracy must always remain our top priority when sharing information,” he stated.

As part of the company’s commitment to promoting renewable energy and environmental sustainability, the Program concluded with the handover of eight solar-powered lighting units to MA Matholiul Huda.

Through this initiative, the BJP reaffirmed the company’s commitment to contributing to educational development, enhancing digital literacy, and fostering environmental awareness within the community. The companies also expect the Program to continue on a quarterly basis, involving various departments to provide broader knowledge and inspiration for students across Jepara Regency.
