Toddler Health Competition: Initiatives to Promote Children's Health Culture
Jepara, 9th May 2026 - PT Bhumi Jati Power, hereinafter (“BJP”), in collaboration with Bondo Health Forum (FKD Bondo), successfully conducted a Healthy Toddler Contest. This program was held at the Bondo Village Hall with 20 participants from the age of 1 - 5 years. Toddlers Health Competition is the implementation of BJP's CSR program as a form of concern and aims to improve public awareness of health in toddlers and encourage the development of a healthy lifestyle culture among families in Bondo Village.
The program was implemented as part of the BJP’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment under the Community Health and Nutrition Pillar and aligns with the Government of Indonesia’s efforts to prevent and reduce stunting prevalence through early preventive action and continuous health monitoring for children.
Health Promotion to Prevent Stunted Growth in Children
The event commenced with a health education session delivered by Mrs. Endah Susilowati as a Nutrition Expert of the Bangsri Community Health Center. During the session, she emphasized the importance of adequate nutritional intake during the “golden age” period of child development. She highlighted that toddlers require sufficient animal-based protein and balanced nutrition to support optimal growth and prevent stunting.
The Toddler Health Competition was conducted in collaboration with village midwives, nutritionists, and Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) cadres. The assessment criteria included dental health, Mothers and Children's Health Report Handbook (or KIA Book, abbreviation form Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak), immunization completeness, nutritional intake, physical health condition, and agility performance of the toddlers. Through these comprehensive assessments, the program aimed to encourage parents to actively monitor and improve their children’s health and development.
Continuous Monitoring and Commitments
Mr. Ahmad Yusron, as the Bondo Village Secretary, expressed his appreciation to BJP for its continuous concern and contribution toward improving children’s health in Bondo Village. According to him, the program not only provides education for parents but also strengthens collaboration between the community and healthcare stakeholders in fostering a healthier future generation.
As part of its long-term CSR strategy, BJP remains committed to supporting sustainable community health programs in the surrounding operational areas. Since 2022, the Toddler Health Competition has been conducted annually as a continuous effort to monitor child growth and development while promoting preventive healthcare practices at the village level. Going forward, the BJP will continue to collaborate with local stakeholders, healthcare institutions, and community organizations to strengthen public health awareness and foster a sustainable, healthy living culture for future generations.
