Developing Competence of Local Community Through Welding Training Program
Jepara, 9th May 2019 – PT. Bhumi Jati Power (hereinafter “BJP”), jointly with Pusat Kegiatan Bersama Masyarakat Puna Kawan (PKBM) and the Cooperation, SMEs, Manpower and Transmigration Agency of Jepara Regency (hereinafter “Disnaker Jepara”), conducted opening ceremony of Welding Training Program at Vocational Training Centre of Jepara Regency (hereinafter “BLK Jepara”). This Program is planned to be conducted in 2 batches, and 15 trainees who come from Tubanan Village, Kaliaman Village and Bondo Village, will participate in each batch. In this Program, each trainee will receive 200 hours training during 20 days under the curriculum arranged by Disnaker Jepara. BJP supports this program as a part of our CSR program in order to assist local community to develop their competency and increase their opportunity to access better livelihood.
In the opening ceremony, Mr. Nur Zaenudin, Head of BLK Jepara and on behalf of Disnaker Jepara, conveyed his gratitude to BJP and all attendees that Welding Training Program could finally be realized. He emphasized how lucky all the trainees were because trainee has to usually queue for long time to participant in training program at BLK Jepara. At the end of speech, he stated his hope that the training program could continue even if it is other type of training.
Mr. Ari Wibawa, CSR Manager of BJP, expressed his hope that all of trainees could complete the training session well so as to develop their competency. He also conveyed some of information that, there had been a high growth in demand for welding products in Central Java Province for the last couple of years, which includes canopy, trellis and fence, so this would be a good opportunity for trainees to obtain a job according to the growth of market demand.
We hope these activities can contribute as possible as in such way to the development of the local communities by support to develop the competency of local people.
